How These Questions Are Written

Every question is written for this site. We do not copy, paraphrase, or reconstruct official exam questions. If an item can’t be explained from a standard EMT teaching point, it doesn’t ship.
What a question has to include
- One stem, one best answer, and distractors that are plausible actions on a call.
- A domain from the EMT certification exam in use since April 2025: scene size-up and safety, primary assessment, secondary assessment, patient treatment and transport, or operations.
- A rationale that says why the best answer comes first, not only why the others are wrong.
What the score means
The set on the homepage is six questions. The number at the end is how many of those six you chose. It is not scaled, it is not a readiness band, and it is not a prediction of an NREMT result.
Review
Each rationale is checked against the domain it claims before the item goes up. A correction from a reader replaces the item. The current set is marked in the data file as a first release, so the date of the bank is visible.
